Timothy J. Gallagher,

Registered Architect

Owner & Principal

A native of the Capital Region, Tim ventured downstate in the mid 80’s to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the NYIT School of Architecture. Tim spent several years on Long Island developing design and management skills working on school district capital projects, hospital renovations and custom “Gold Coast” homes. After relocating back upstate to Albany, Tim provided professional consulting services for more than a year before establishing his firm, Architex, in 1996.

Today, Tim shares his planning, design and detailing expertise with a variety of clients. His extensive experience includes the building and remodeling of residential, retail, office, bank/credit union, community and cultural facility projects. He has also expanded his interest and knowledge of ‘green’ building, construction management and real estate development into new services now offered by Architex.

Tim is a member of the Colonie Chamber of Commerce and has served on the Board of Directors for the Capital Region Builders and Remodelers Association for six years. As a ‘team’ leader he promotes the values of setting and achieving goals, always committing to excellence, and inspiring a positive attitude in all those around us.

Tim and his wife Kathy spend summers boating on Lake George and enjoy traveling to exotic locations around the world.

Sean C. West

Project Manager

Growing up in the metro-Detroit area of Michigan, Sean earned a B.S. in Architecture in 2006 and a Masters of Architecture in 2008, both from the University of Michigan. Upon graduation, Sean relocated to Washington, DC where he developed design and research skills while detailing the meticulous restoration and renovation of historic homes and churches, primarily in the old Georgetown neighborhood where he lived. Sean’s project management experience expanded to encompass all aspects of coordination and communication with clients, builders, city officials and community organizations. His responsibilities extended onto the site with construction management roles for a mix of modern and traditional custom homes, addition/alteration and boat-house projects along the Maryland shores of the Chesapeake Bay.

Sean married in 2010 and moved with his wife to Albany, where they now reside. Sean has been a volunteer on the Albany YMCA’s Board of Governors for the past two years, as well as a volunteer helping disadvantaged kids achieve their sporting dreams in the Capital Region Miracle League.

In his spare time, Sean enjoys playing and following nearly all sports, particularly football, tennis and triathlon. Sean and his wife are expecting their first child in the Spring of 2013.

Rebecca B. Meserve

Project Manager

Rebecca is a native of the Adirondacks and growing up at her family-built cabin evoked a desire to design and build for comfort. She started her college education in Oswego N.Y. and from there decided to follow that passion of design and moved to Syracuse N.Y. where she acquired an Associates Degree in Applied Science of Architectural Technology. After working on educational buildings, healthcare facilities and restaurants she decided to complete her education at Boston Architectural College. Returning to Upstate NY she was a consultant on residential projects around the Lake George area.

Rebecca has a broad experience of both commercial and residential design, from renovations to new construction. Her skills range from hand and computerized drafting to 3-D design and modeling. As a project manager, she enjoys participating in all phases of projects as they evolve from design concept to customized solutions for each unique client. Rebecca enjoys spending her spare time outdoors; hiking and boating in the warm seasons to snowshoeing and snowboarding in the winter.
