<title>Historic DeFreest Barn Reconstruction Now Complete</title>

<description>&lt;p&gt;This 5820sf building will serve the Capital Region as both Community &amp;amp; Conference Center and 21st Century Science &amp;amp; Technology classroom for local students.&amp;nbsp; The circa 1820 heavy timber frame was restored and reconstructed on a new foundation with a full basement.&amp;nbsp; The structure was modernized with the use of structural insulated panels, complete HVAC &amp;amp; electrical systems, and the addition of a two-story wing with toilet rooms and an elevator.&lt;/p&gt;

<description>&lt;p&gt;Located in the Palatine Center across the river from Canajoharie, NY, this 2560sf space incorporated natural stone, limestone tile floors and mahogany panel casework to create the look and feel of an &amp;quot;old fashion&amp;quot; bank.&amp;nbsp; The client was extremely satisfied with a design that reflected the character of the community and utilized the natural resources of the region.&lt;/p&gt;

<description>&lt;p&gt;Treo Solutions, an innovative health care business intelligence firm, is expanding their Tech Park office with a 10,000s.f. addition consisting of two interconnected buildings.&amp;nbsp; Architex designed the project to accommodate the more than 100% growth in the business by creating a new entry lobby, multiple size conference rooms, a cafeteria with serving kitchen and office space for 89 new staff members.&lt;/p&gt;

The design as well as selected materials &amp; fixtures will be a mix of classical &amp; contemporary styling.</description>
