Architex ‘Teams’ with Turner Construction at GE Global Research Facility

Architex was recently selected by Albany based Turner Construction Special Projects Division to form a design/build team for corporate giant General Electric. Just under 7,000 s.f. of existing office space at the GE Global Research Facility in Niskayuna, NY will be demolished and renovated. The work will include the removal of (14) enclosed offices to provide an “open” floor plan with (28) new work stations, small conference tables, and views to the exterior. (15) remaining offices will be refurbished, and the entire office “suite” will receive new carpeting, ceilings, lighting, HVAC and sprinkler system upgrades.
