Historic DeFreest Barn Reconstruction Now Complete

This 5820sf building will serve the Capital Region as both Community & Conference Center and 21st Century Science & Technology classroom for local students. The circa 1820 heavy timber frame was restored and reconstructed on a new foundation with a full basement. The structure was modernized with the use of structural insulated panels, complete HVAC & electrical systems, and the addition of a two-story wing with toilet rooms and an elevator.
